The Baptist Assembly in Scotland is the joint Assembly of the Baptist Union of Scotland and BMS World Mission.
Fifty-one churches, comprising 3,500 members formed the Baptist Union of Scotland in 1869. Today with 163 churches and over 12,000 members, the Baptist Union strives for simplicity in organisational structure and promotes a more relational approach through increasing contact between the local churches and those who serve the churches through the Union.
BMS World Mission is a Christian mission organisation, working in around 40 countries on four continents. BMS believes in holistic mission, an approach that stays true to the Christian call to evangelisation without neglecting the duty to take care of the physical needs of the poor.
